The You That No One Knows
You were taken from us suddenly,
One moment you were here, the next one gone.
The essence and warmth that was you
Is far from the reach of our hands alone.
But within each heart we will remember and grieve,
The dark eyed daughter, wife, friend, sister, and mother,
You were to each of us someone different.
Parent, Partner, Child, Sister and Friend.... and other
We each miss you in our own separate way,
But who really knew you in your deepest heart.
Who among us truely knew the you deep inside?
No one really knows more than a small part.
~But God Knows~
No one ever really knows the diamond we are.
One saw a wife in all the wonder of loving years.
Others saw Mom with the mixed feelings of a child
We each felt your absence through anguished tears.
No one really knows our loved one or friend,
Or perhaps it's the person ahead of us in line...
We see but one facet of each diamond life,
Only one small sparkle from one moment in time.
The You that no one knows...
The sparkling bright soul filled with light
Filled with joyful love and childlike wonder
And secret dreams is hidden from our sight.
~But God Knows~
A lifetime is not long enough,
No matter how hard we try
We only catch a glimmer...
And then must say goodbye....
