To Son With Love
Dear Son,
With love in my heart
And tears in my eyes
I write the words
With memories of days gone by.
The toy trucks and games
You once played as a boy
Are now replaced by words
Of love and joy.
For you are now a man, it seems
And have decided to take the steps
To follow your dreams.
You soon will be married
Oh my, where has the time gone!
You have picked your mate
Your day has finally come.
So, son, I send you off
To follow your heart
To fulfill your dreams
And reach for those stars.
Little boy to man
Right before my eyes!
I can’t believe how time
Has flown so quickly by.
So now, my child, the time has come
For Mamma to say,
“To Son With Love.”
