Most holy Apostle, St. Jude,
faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who
delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has
caused you to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and
invokes you as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost
despaired of.
Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use,
I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to
bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.
Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the
consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations
and sufferings, particularly
(here make your request)
and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever. I promise, O blessed St.
Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor
you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage
devotion to you.

My Personal Favors From St. Jude
I
have been gifted with St. Jude's help twice to my certain knowledge.
The first time, was shortly after I was married. We lived in the
country, and shared a garden with my in-laws. It had been freshly
plowed and I removed my engagement ring because I was getting
it crusty with dirt and wearing a blister onto my finger. I placed
it in my shirt pocket and went on with the planting. Later that
afternoon, we took a break and while I was in the house, I noticed
my ring was gone. The garden was 1/2 acre. I sat inside and worried
and prayed as my husband went back out to the garden to look for
the ring. No one thought he would find it, but less than 15 minutes
later, he came in with the ring in his hand.
Thank You, St. Jude for guiding him to
the ring.
The second gift was also about that fateful ring. We moved into
a small mobile home the next year on the farm. The plot of land
we put the trailer on, was quite flat for the hilly area we live
in, and had a stream in front. Little did we know that the rains,
when heavy, washed across that field like a flood. After a few
times of dealing with the heavy rain of one particular year, we
dug some small trenches across the front of the yard to help channel
the water away more quickly. You would think I had learned my
lesson, but no... while out in the rain one day repairing these
ditches, which were full of rushing water, I removed my ring again...
and again lost it. My husband was not home, and I already knew
the power of prayer to St. Jude, so I searched in the mud and
rain all the while praying to St. Jude for my ring to be found.
Within less than half an hour, in the rain, on muddy banks of
ditches I found the ring waiting for me.
Thank You, St. Jude for giving my ring
back yet again!
I still pray to St. Jude for his blessings and favors and advise
my children and friends to turn to him when things look bleak.
This does not take away from my faith in God, for who among us
would turn down help from someone well placed in government or
society when help was needed?
Recently, I spent several prayers to St. Jude for my daughter-in-law
to find her own lost engagement ring. It was found the next day.
Thank you St. Jude, for helping her
find her ring.
