The
Simple Truth
Much is said about friends these days.
Some people still think true friends
Can only be made in traditional ways.
Online seems to touch us deeply and fast.
We can't see differences we do on the street
But we do find truths of friends that last.
I am not blue, and you are not green.
We are of many different faiths,
And half a world lies in between.
We are made of the same sky and earth,
Our hearts beat in timeless rhythm
A harmony and symphony since birth.
The music of life knows not race or creed,
Friendship requires no reason to be....
It simply is there.. a basic need.
Look past the obvious, it could be lies.
It's a simple truth we all can learn,
To see with your hearts, close your eyes.
It doesn't matter at all where we live.
I am not blue, and you are not green.
It only matters that we have love to give.
