When the thunder rolls in the distance
And the grain is still in the field,
There's an air of deep concern.
From the lightning there's no shield ...

And I fear the crops are wasted,
Soon to lay upon the ground.
I say my prayer but find,
Instead of trusting, I'm looking 'round.

I would seek an earthly answer
When there is none I know.
I must say my prayer believing;
Yes, believing it is so.

In the Spirit, I can see the
White, white, fields of grain
And I'm anxious for I know not what.
God is still the same.

Though, I want to see my loved ones
Come at once to love and trust,
God says, "Trust Me. I know
How to touch, I must!"

For though we want to do it for them,
They must cross the line alone.
God will bring them, as He did us,
To His knowledge on their own.

I can't save another soul at all.
I can only share His love
And pray the Lightning of His love
Pierces from above.
