HONEYSUCKLE MEMORIES
You
walked through my dreams again last night
on the honeysuckle fragrance of moonlight.
I felt your warm breath upon my cheek,
and turned.... your lips to seek.
Honeysuckle memories clinging through the years,
heady perfume full of sweetness and tears,
A wistful smile fleeting now as I write,
of honeysuckle memories and moonlight.
By trial and error our youth is spent.
We wind down this life we were lent,
and Honeysuckle Memories sweeter than wine
I treasure in my heart knowing you are mine.
