Best Friends
There once was a girl who found a friend
and pleasant hours together they'd spend
they dreamed and wept as the world opened wide
and they learned and they grew, ever side by side
distance and trials came with the years
shared laughter and sorrow and drama and fears
but bonds deeply forged will never end
to this day each names the other best friend.
